Pirates line up
I’ve been posting about this the past few days, here they are my character design assignment for this week. We’re suppose to come up with 3 pirate designs that are completely different from each other, shape and personality wise.
I had so much fun doing this assignment, spent way too much time on it than I probably should, but I’m learning tons from it. Also, these were all done 100% digitally, even the thumbnail sketches. I’m slowly figuring out how to draw in the computer. It still feels a bit awkward and my wrist hurts a lot after I’m done, I think I’m just holding the pen weird because I have a the super tiny tablet. And I’ve completely worn out the tip of my Bamboo pen, but I’ve been told it’s replaceable!
Hirschfeld Hands
My life drawing teacher used to say if you can draw hands you can draw anything. Well, I’m pretty lousy at drawing hands, so I spent a better part of my day studying how Al Hirschfeld does his hands. Putting this into actual life-drawing practice is the hard part. For now I copy.

Buttoned-up
I inadvertently scheduled 2 night classes on Mondays. So when I finish my writing class at 10pm I run home real fast to be around for my online class that starts at 8pm, Pacific Time.
Tonight I fell asleep right after, just woke up to do my drawing for today. Going back to bed now.
