Whoa, this looks like Big Fish! I can’t believe this exists in California. My list is getting longer and longer.

I was googling Tehachapi, and this is the image that came up. Holy, road trip! It is also apparently the site of the largest wind farm in the US. (Tehachapi Desert, Central California : TreeHugger)
If I ever get rich, I’m taking all my friends here.

Milford Track - The Finest Walk in the World (via Away.com)
I first heard of Milford Track from this Globe Trekker episode, a few years ago (I so love public television). Ever since then, this place has made it into the top of my list of places to visit. Actually it’s a little more than that, it’s more like my “things that I want to accomplish in my lifetime” list, which includes going abroad to go study at a culinary school, and doing an illustration for the cover of the New Yorker (specifically the food issue).
Oh, while I’m on it, I’d also like to own a truck like this, and fill up the whole back part with french bread and other baked goods, drive around town, and sell baked goods from it.
Enough day dreaming for today, now back to kerning.
Olympic National Park’s true distinction lies in its stunning diversity. Few places on earth have so much of everything: human and natural history, unusual flora and fauna, utter wilderness, and spots for every kind of outdoor recreation. Magnificent waterfalls, wide alpine meadows sparkling with avalanche lilies, larkspur, and Indian paintbrush, eerie moss-bearded forests dripping with fog, and cliff-lined beaches await the adventurous explorer.
