Harry Potter: A Tribute to Magic!

What if muggles get to enter the wizarding world?

It’s completely plausible. Ron once said that almost all witches and wizards nowadays are either half-bloods or muggle-borns. With the end of Voldemort’s reign, muggle-borns and muggles would be accepted by the wizarding world as equals. One day it might just be possible that the divide between the magical and the non-magical world would be lifted. That non-magical folks would finally be aware of the existence of the wizarding world. And when that day comes, muggles are going to be blown away by all the magic that they’ve been missing all these years. It’s literally a whole new world that they’ve got to explore.

That’s the idea behind these travel posters, they promote the magical world as travel destinations to non-magical people.

Okay, for those of you not caught up, the last of the Harry Potter movies is coming out on July 15th. Gallery Nucleus is doing a Harry Potter Tribute Exhibition a week before the film opens, to get in on all the excitement.

Being the Harry Potter nerd that I am, I really want to be a part of the exhibition, so I made a these paintings to submit to the show. I’m crossing my fingers that I get in. I’ve never had my work up on a gallery before, I think this would be a great first show if I make it.

For all the HP fans in LA, the show opens July 9th, 7-11pm. It’s $2 admission at the door, but it’s free if you come in costume or blog/tweet/facebook about the event by July 2nd. So are ya comin’?
